About the Role

As an Intern in PwC Canada's market-leading Deals practice, you will gain hands-on experience with real client work, explore business operations, and learn about trust through compliance and strategic planning. You will be part of a diverse, inclusive team that values your perspective and empowers you to make a real impact, utilizing AI-powered audit tools and participating in a national upskilling program.

Responsibilities

Develop consulting skills in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced strategy and M&A team focused on helping create and capture value throughout an acquisition or a divestiture.
Help clients grow faster, work smarter, and solve problems that matter, creating tangible value through strategy, value creation, and M&A.
Work on projects including growth and turnaround strategies, fully integrated due diligence, organizational design, data analytics, operational excellence, and the creation/review of financial models.
Gain knowledge and serve clients across industries and sectors including Financial Services, Energy, Utilities, Mining and Industrial Products, Defence, Technology, Communications, Retail & Consumer, and Private Equity.
Develop consulting skills in Strategy, Analytics, Corporate Development, Financial Modelling, AI, and Operations within the first 2 years.
Align to core skills based on interest and business needs as career progresses.

Requirements

Enrolled in post-secondary education, preference given to third-year students.
Strong quantitative, analytical, structured problem-solving, and communication skills.
Data and analytics literacy and AI fluency (including effective prompting) to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends.
Openness to learning new tools and adapting work methods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas.
Strong executive presentation and synthesis skills to present work and findings to clients.
Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information to deliver quality to clients.
Demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives.
Ability to build genuine relationships rooted in trust by sharing and collaborating effectively.
Ability to adapt easily while demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities.

Comfortable travelling to cities across Canada (when deemed safe).
