About the Role

Ulster County Community Action Committee is hiring a part-time Teacher Aide (Center Aide for classroom support) in Kingston, NY. This role helps keep the classroom running smoothly and supports children’s learning by backing up the lead teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Work with children in small groups or one-on-one as directed
• Help keep the classroom clean, organized, and ready for instruction
• Coordinate meals
• Support children's engagement and progress
• Adjust plans and support transitions
• Reset the classroom at the end of the day

Requirements

• Ability to work with children in a patient, supportive way
• Willingness to assist teacher direction and follow classroom procedures
• Comfortable with basic cleaning and tidying of the classroom
