About the Role
As a senior member of our Investment Banking group, you’ll drive strategic solutions for REITs, corporates, and financial institutions, leveraging your expertise to deliver innovative results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will lead high-impact transactions and build lasting client relationships across the industry’s most influential players.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct preparation of detailed financial models, presentations and internal committee memos
- Lead transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and other equity and debt capital raising activities across the real estate, lodging, gaming and home building sectors
- Refine marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact
- Identify and manage risks in a given deal
- Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and collaborate closely with senior bankers on developing and implementing strategic financial solutions for clients
- Prospect new clients, develop and manage existing client relationships, including relationships with key decision makers
- Mentor investment banking analysts and associates
Requirements
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role
- Experience in training junior bankers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate financial concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
- Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment
