About the Role

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, determines/coordinates treatment plan, and provides Speech / Language services in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delivers designated discipline activities across acute care, short-term rehab, long term care, and outpatient settings.
• Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the Health System.
• Collaborates with internal and external services to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.

Requirements

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles over the life span.
• Assesses patient data and interprets age-specific needs and care requirements.
• Current NYS Licensure in Speech Pathology required.
• Ongoing accredited continuing education as required by NYS licensure or certification required.
• CPR Certification within 3 months of employment required.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required.
• Masters in Speech/ Language Pathology from accredited institution required.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in acute care, sub-acute and/or skilled nursing facility preferred.
