About the Role
Bank of London is seeking an implementation lead to design, initiate, and lead the program for becoming a direct participant of the CHAPS payment scheme. This role involves leveraging expertise in CHAPS and UK Banking to guide cross-functional gap analysis, define delivery requirements, and oversee the implementation process. You will collaborate with internal teams and the Bank of England's CHAPS onboarding team.
Responsibilities
- Design, initiate, and lead the CHAPS payment scheme participation program.
- Lead cross-functional gap analysis.
- Identify delivery requirements.
- Lead the implementation process.
- Liaise with internal teams across the Bank, including senior management and end-users.
- Liaise directly with the CHAPS onboarding team at the Bank of England.
Requirements
- Strong understanding and experience of the CHAPS scheme, ideally in a project leadership or senior delivery role.
- Comfortable working independently to shape gap analysis, programme design, and implementation requirements.
- Ability to liaise with technical, operational, and oversight teams.
- Excellent understanding of UK Banking and Payments.
- Knowledge of key regulatory requirements in Risk Management, Governance, Operational Resilience, and Supplier Management.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats, from programme management to business analysis.
- Ability to get stuck into the detail where needed.
- Structured approach to work.
