About the Role
WorkFit Medical Staffing is seeking skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in providing top-quality care in a long-term care setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support patients through their recovery journey while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist with meals and monitor food and fluid intake.
- Maintain clean, comfortable, and safe patient rooms and care areas.
- Observe patients for changes in physical or emotional condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
- Document patient care accurately according to facility procedures.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and respectful care.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and privacy procedures.
- Assist nurses with appropriate patient-care tasks within the CNA's scope of practice.
Requirements
- Current and valid New York State CNA Certification.
- Experience in rehabilitation or long-term care nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team.
- BLS certification (AHA or RQI) required.
