About the Role
This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified CDL drivers to support our transportation operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the urgency of driver staffing, and is passionate about building strong pipelines of top talent.
Responsibilities
- Source and recruit qualified CDL Class A drivers using job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Conduct phone screens and interviews to evaluate driver qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
- Manage full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing → screening → offer → onboarding
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, background checks, and driver qualification files
- Partner with operations and fleet leadership to understand hiring needs and timelines
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment metrics
- Coordinate orientation schedules and onboarding for new hires
- Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive driver candidates
Requirements
- 2+ years of recruiting experience in logistics or transportation
- Strong understanding of CDL requirements and DOT compliance standards
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and online recruiting platforms (Indeed, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple openings and meet hiring deadlines
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
