About the Role

The Sanitation Worker cleans and sanitizes all plant equipment in compliance with customer specifications and company policies related to GMPs and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Perform light cleaning of coolers, including picking up garbage and sweeping.
• Clean floors using the floor scrubber.
• Disassemble equipment.
• Pressure wash rugs.
• Clean overhead levels using a man lift.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Produce products in a manner that exceeds quality and value expectations by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and problem-solve.
• Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
• Ability to operate sanitation equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
• Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.
• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.
• Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, and pushing/pulling/carrying.
• May require hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses.
• Ability to handle product weight up to 100 lbs.
