About the Role
The Senior Quantitative Finance Analyst will re-design, optimize, and lead the implementation and deployment of next-generation Risk and Capital models to enhance the bank's risk management capabilities. This role offers a challenging and intellectually stimulating opportunity within a dynamic and innovative risk and capital modelling portfolio across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and technical acumen in the design, implementation, and deployment of new models, analytic processes, or systems.
- Develop innovative approaches to modelling problems using current industry standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and communicate them effectively.
- Offer insight and thought leadership into the implementation of new models, analytic processes, or systems.
- Promote the adoption of industry best practices for model development, implementation, and monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing models and processes through collaboration with stakeholders.
- Produce clear and coherent technical documentation for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Govern models and processes to meet the highest regulatory expectations.
- Take ownership to deliver results and meet critical deadlines.
- Provide leadership to junior team members.
Requirements
- Highly numerical degree (Masters required, PhD desirable) in Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or Engineering.
- Several years of relevant work experience or equivalent educational training.
- Experience developing and implementing large quantitative models and managing large datasets.
- Proven leadership abilities, working across organizational lines.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, VBA, and Latex.
- Strong technical writing and clear verbal communication skills.
- Experience working under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Curiosity and willingness to develop and work on new modelling approaches.
- Organized, practical, and execution-focused with some project management experience.
