About the Role

As a Customer Service Consultant, you will provide outstanding service by educating customers on digital platforms and offering choices for banking. You will raise fraud awareness, identify and support vulnerable customers, and ensure financial inclusion. We seek individuals passionate about customer experience, ambitious, and helpful. Previous customer service experience is beneficial but not essential; strong conversational skills and a genuine passion for exceeding customer expectations are key.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers within the Branch Customer Service Team.
  • Take ownership of customer needs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Educate customers on HSBC digital services and fraud awareness.
  • Identify customers in vulnerable situations and provide appropriate support.
  • Assist customers with complex banking needs to ensure they feel supported.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills for effective conversations, building connections, and showing empathy.
  • Ability to take ownership of customer inquiries through to resolution.
  • Deliver a personalized, friendly, and efficient service that exceeds expectations.
  • Resilience to work in a continuously changing environment.
  • Must be a UK Resident over 18 years old.
  • Must have valid right to work in the UK for a minimum of 14 months.
  • Unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
  • Students on visas that do not permit 35 hours of work per week cannot be considered.
  • May be required to support other local branches, with additional costs reimbursed.
  • Must attend the full 9-day training course split over 3 weeks.
  • Unable to take holidays during the training period.
