About the Role

John Lewis Financial Services seeks an Insurer Relations Manager to oversee daily motor and home insurer panel activities. This role focuses on developing and engaging key insurer partnerships to support business growth, requiring strong negotiation, operational process establishment, and stakeholder management skills. The individual will act as an ambassador for John Lewis Money, championing the customer and the brand.

Responsibilities

Engage with insurers continuously to advance key initiatives and operational actions for both John Lewis and partner organizations.
Manage internal stakeholders and oversee action tracking to ensure accountability and adherence to established timelines.
Assist in coordinating and preparing materials for insurer meetings, strategic reviews, and executive reporting.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of commercial agreements, performance metrics, and key contacts.
Escalate operational risks and strategic concerns to the Head of Insurer Relations and Commercial Lead as appropriate.
Support the preparation of management reports, including detailed data analysis and insights.
Establish and sustain effective professional relationships, providing rigorous stakeholder management across leadership teams.

Requirements

Experience in insurance relations, preferably within the general insurance sector with a focus on car or home.
Excellent direct and written communication skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
Successfully manage multiple stakeholders at senior levels, and excellent influencing skills.
Demonstrable experience working for an insurer/broker.
Knowledge of digital distribution models.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
