About the Role
NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of surgical procedures in a state-of-the-art Operating Room environment. This role functions as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team, assisting with the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team.
- Assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting.
- New Graduates: Certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.
- Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care.
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
