About the Role

Exercise Physiologist Samaritan Hospital- Troy Per Diem. Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge. Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals participating in the CardioPulmonary Rehab and Wellness programs at both Albany and Troy locations.
• Participate in the development of individualized treatment plans.
• Provide patient education.
• Develop and lead exercise classes.
• Assist patients with equipment and ensure safety.
• Assess and reassess patient to achieve both program and personal goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or kinesiology.
• Preferred certification by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists.
• ACSM-EP, ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist
• ACSM-CEP, ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist
• BLS, ACLS, and EKG interpretation certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Fun personality and strong desire to motivate others.
• Previous rehab experience preferred.
