About the Role

The Senior KYC Analyst & Team Lead role is responsible for the onboarding of customers within the Global Corporate Trust unit, ensuring adherence to AML, KYC, and Sanctions obligations. This position serves as an expert resource for onboarding and customer due diligence, and involves participation in ongoing projects such as remediation and the development of the e-KYC system.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the KYC onboarding of Corporate Trust transactions.
  • Coordinating the due diligence process for approval by the Corporate Trust Risk team.
  • Identifying and mitigating business risks and operational challenges.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Resolving customer problems quickly and effectively.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements in processes and systems.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of European Regulation associated with Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence, and Sanctions.
  • Acting as the initial escalation point for complex KYC questions and issue management.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across business, Risk, and Compliance areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all AML, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements.
  • Determining information needs and extracting information from source documents, including complex legal documents.

Requirements

  • 7 years previous KYC/Onboarding experience essential.

  • Working knowledge of finance and/or banking.
  • Knowledge of various corporate customer types (e.g., regulated financial institutions, special purpose financial vehicles, listed companies, funds).
  • Demonstrated experience with complex customer types.
  • Evidence of experience in a Senior KYC Analyst, Team Lead, or Project Management position.
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to determine information needs and extract required information from multiple source documents.
  • Robust written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to appropriately identify and manage risks.
  • Ability to balance risk requirements with customer experience.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with key business stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy is required.
