About the Role

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to assist with the delivery of the Calvert HS2 Maintenance Depot. This 2-year graduate development program is designed to develop personal, professional, and technical skills through a blended approach, working under the supervision of Design Managers and in collaboration with the site team.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy.
Ensure quality on our projects is upheld.
Support the delivery of the Calvert Infrastructure Maintenance Depot (IMD), gaining experience on a major infrastructure facility within the HS2 programme.
Work alongside experienced engineers, architects and other professionals, supporting the development and coordination of multidisciplinary design solutions.
Assist with the management and coordination of RFIs (Requests for Information) between designers, contractors and the client using project document control systems.
Support the collation, review and distribution of project deliverables, ensuring project documentation is maintained accurately and issued in a timely manner.
Participate in design workshops, coordination meetings and project reviews, gaining exposure to the design development process and stakeholder engagement.
Assist in the coordination of project activities to help ensure works are delivered safely on time and in line with project objectives.
Support compliance with design, health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Promote Ferrovial Construction UK's Vision and Values.
Maintain safe working practices.

Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment and throughout the entirety of the graduate program.

Skills

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels
Degree or master’s in engineering (All disciplines considered)
Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role and the Graduate programme
Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving
A proven team player who can effectively work with others
Proactive approach to working and learning
Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry
Familiar with all Microsoft packages
