Responsibilities
- Review journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare journal entries when necessary.
- Review quarterly and annual reporting packages before management approval.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements before management approval.
- Review capital calls and distributions before management approval.
- Coordinate the delivery of capital call and distribution notices to clients and investors.
- Review correspondence with client investors to address inquiries.
- Communicate with clients to establish deadlines for quarterly and annual deliverables per client LPA requirements.
- Review all team wires/transfers before treasury approval and sign off.
- Prepare/review moderate to complex waterfall and management fee calculations.
- Assist in the development and training of new team members.
- Coordinate and complete special projects as directed by the client or management.
- Assist with new client onboarding.
Requirements
- 2 – 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA or MSA) in Accounting or a related field strongly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Investran or other partnership accounting software is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, pay attention to detail, and possess planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with current and potential clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle/manage multiple team and individual priorities and deadlines.
Skills
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, methods, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting and interpreting information.
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients’ businesses and maintain strong client relationships.
