About the Role
The Solar AC Electrical Foreman will be responsible for the construction, installation, and modification of electrical appliances, systems, facilities, and related controls. The role requires taking direction and working intuitively to support company goals and exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty systems, devices, and parts using testing equipment and hand tools.
- Analyze electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and maintenance needs, ensuring code compliance.
- Verify the compatibility and safety of electrical systems by testing circuit continuity.
- Provide continuous feedback to management regarding potential hazards.
- Perform job duties on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Complete physically demanding tasks including trench digging, underground conduit installation, and prolonged bending, crouching, and lifting.
- Understand plans, specifications, contracts, blueprints, safety documents, and other job-related documentation.
- Demonstrate efficient problem-solving skills by identifying and mitigating safety hazards, code violations, and electrical issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 3.5 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or solar electrician journeyman capacity.
- Thorough understanding of electrical equipment, high and low voltages, electrical theory, power generation, switchgear maintenance, and paralleling procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning.
- Proficiency with all electrical test equipment for diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems and instruments.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and achieve objectives without supervision.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
