About the Role

Publicis Sapient is seeking an exceptional hands-on technologist to help Energy & Commodities clients modernize technology landscapes, unlock value from data and AI, and create new digital capabilities. This role involves partnering with clients to shape opportunities, build and prove solutions, and create roadmaps for transformation, remaining hands-on with small, skilled teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Energy & Commodities clients to shape and win transformative technology opportunities.
• Work alongside senior business and technology stakeholders to understand complex challenges, define solution approaches, and demonstrate how AI, data, and modern engineering can unlock real business value.
• Remain hands-on, working with small engineering teams to rapidly design, build, and launch production-ready solutions.
• Help grow Publicis Sapient's Energy & Commodities business by identifying reusable patterns, contributing to new propositions and IP, and sharing lessons learned.
• Shape the next generation of technology solutions.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation with a track record of personally designing, building, and scaling technology.
• Comfortable getting close to the code, architecture, and data.
• Genuine depth across machine learning, data engineering, and applied AI, extending well beyond Generative AI.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating models through effective MLOps practices.
• Deep cloud engineering experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP, ideally with exposure to more than one platform.
• Understanding of large-scale and distributed systems, including real-time data streaming, batch processing, and distributed computing environments.
• Ability to build secure, resilient technology that can support enterprise-scale workloads.
• Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy working directly with clients to understand complex problems and shape approaches.
• Ability to rapidly test ideas through working software.
• Exceptional communicator, comfortable advising CxO stakeholders and exploring technical detail with engineers.
• Energized by contributing to business growth and comfortable being measured partly through opportunities created and converted.
• Enjoy shaping solutions, building client confidence, and helping turn promising ideas into successful engagements.
• Lead from the front and enjoy working with small, highly capable teams.
• Curious, pragmatic, and able to learn enough about unfamiliar platforms to solve client problems.
