About the Role
Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in South Austin is seeking an energetic, people-focused Assistant Spa Manager to join our leadership team. This role is crucial for enhancing the guest experience and ensuring the spa's daily success. You will collaborate with front desk staff and partner with the Spa Manager to lead the team, boost sales, and maintain smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and positive experience for every guest.
- Handle phone calls, schedule appointments, and address guest inquiries.
- Inform guests about memberships, services, enhancements, and retail products.
- Drive sales for memberships and spa packages.
- Motivate the front desk team to achieve individual and spa goals.
- Support daily spa operations, including scheduling, inventory, payroll, and reporting.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and upbeat spa environment.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction.
- Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable in partnership with the Spa Manager.
- Ensure Massage Therapists and Estheticians have the necessary support for exceptional service delivery.
Requirements
- Previous leadership, retail, hospitality, or sales experience.
- Strong sales mindset and comfort discussing memberships and services with guests.
- Friendly and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to coach and encourage others while following direction.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Interest in massage, skincare, health, and wellness.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous spa experience is a plus.
- Great leadership, sales ability, and the right personality are highly valued.
