Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and identify failure mechanisms.
  • Repair failures in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
  • Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
  • Assist process technicians and engineers with equipment installation and removal.
  • Record times and problems in equipment logs.
  • Provide daily equipment functioning activity information.
  • Disassemble instruments and equipment, inspecting components for defects.
  • Align, repair, replace, and balance component parts and circuitry.
  • Assist engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans.
  • May require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors' locations.
  • May perform both software and hardware maintenance.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an associate degree in a related field, military technical training, or equivalent education and training.
  • Typically requires 2 years of related experience and/or trade knowledge.

Skills

  • Mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment (e.g., conveyor systems, production machines).
  • Electrical maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of equipment failures.
  • Preventive maintenance.
  • Equipment calibration and re-qualification.
  • Assisting with equipment installation and removal.
  • Recording equipment maintenance information.
  • Component inspection and repair.
  • Circuitry alignment, repair, and balancing.
  • Software and hardware maintenance (potentially).

Experience Level

  • 2 years of related experience and/or trade knowledge

Education Level

  • Associate degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training
