Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and identify failure mechanisms.
- Repair failures in the most cost-effective manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
- Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
- Assist process technicians and engineers with equipment installation and removal.
- Record times and problems in equipment logs.
- Provide daily equipment functioning activity information.
- Disassemble instruments and equipment, inspecting components for defects.
- Align, repair, replace, and balance component parts and circuitry.
- Assist engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans.
- May require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors' locations.
- May perform both software and hardware maintenance.
Requirements
- Typically requires an associate degree in a related field, military technical training, or equivalent education and training.
- Typically requires 2 years of related experience and/or trade knowledge.
Skills
- Mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment (e.g., conveyor systems, production machines).
- Electrical maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repair of equipment failures.
- Preventive maintenance.
- Equipment calibration and re-qualification.
- Assisting with equipment installation and removal.
- Recording equipment maintenance information.
- Component inspection and repair.
- Circuitry alignment, repair, and balancing.
- Software and hardware maintenance (potentially).
Experience Level
- 2 years of related experience and/or trade knowledge
Education Level
- Associate degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training
