About the Role
The Engineering Career Centre (ECC) is seeking a Co-op Coordinator to support its rapidly expanding work-integrated learning program. This role involves business development, advising students on recruitment, and facilitating interactions between students and employers to grow industry relationships.
Responsibilities
- Implement plans to develop work-integrated learning opportunities for students.
- Advise students on recruitment processes and practices.
- Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Gather information from employers to align activities with student learning needs.
- Evaluate job prospects based on student academic goals.
- Promote programs at recruitment events.
- Analyze job descriptions and recommend changes to employers.
- Conduct work term site visits and report on findings.
- Review performance evaluations and provide feedback to employers and students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of recent and related experience in employer relations for an experiential learning program, preferably in a post-secondary co-op or internship program.
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing employer partnerships for new experiential learning opportunities.
- Minimum two years of experience working directly with industry partners to facilitate co-op or work-integrated learning placements.
- Relevant experience analyzing employment and engagement data to inform strategies for developing employer partnerships, especially in underrepresented industries.
- Experience interpreting and applying academic, employment, and program policies.
- Strong computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, web editing software, and relational databases.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- High accountability, initiative, judgment, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- Results-orientation with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Highly developed presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Ability to travel within the GTA and surrounding area.

Salary/Compensations
- $81,312. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,986.
