About the Role

The Global Alliances & Ecosystems Executive Communications and Strategic Programs Associate Director will shape and drive a strategic communications agenda to position the Alliances 30x30 vision as an enterprise-wide growth priority. This role will build understanding of the ecosystem's value and secure leadership commitment to embed alliances across service lines, sectors, and regions to accelerate activation and impact. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted communications advisor to the Alliances leadership team, working closely with key stakeholders to navigate the communications ecosystem, align messaging, and build stronger connectivity between Alliances and broader Growth & Innovation initiatives. A key focus will be on the EY-Microsoft Value Creation Initiative (Project Atlas).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior Alliances & Ecosystems leaders, including GE-level stakeholders.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that advances the Alliances & Ecosystems agenda and supports delivery of the Alliances 30x30 vision.
  • Partner with leaders to evolve a compelling and differentiated narrative that demonstrates how alliances create value for clients, EY people and the business.
  • Develop executive communications, leadership messaging, strategic narratives and communications programs that elevate the profile and impact of the Alliances organization.
  • Help senior leaders navigate the communications ecosystem, identifying opportunities, risks, stakeholder considerations and alignment requirements.
  • Provide counsel and communications support to the Global Vice Chair – Alliances & Ecosystems and the broader Alliances leadership team.
  • Support the communications strategy for the EY-Microsoft Value Creation Initiative (Project Atlas), working with the BMC leader supporting the Microsoft Alliance, and ensuring strong alignment with broader Alliances, Consulting, G&I and org-wide priorities.
  • Foster strong connectivity across the Alliances portfolio, ensuring consistency of messaging, priorities and communications approaches.
  • Partner with G&I communications teams to integrate alliances priorities into broader strategic initiatives and enterprise narratives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Alliances Chief of Staff, BMC Alliances and Ecosystems leadership team, and Operations teams to support key business priorities, leadership moments, executive engagements and organizational milestones.
  • Build strong relationships across the BMC organization, helping ensure visibility, alignment and prioritization of alliance communications priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify alliance successes, innovation, client impact and market momentum.
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards and ensure communications outputs are consistently executive-ready, audience-centric and aligned with EY's strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in communications, strategy or related roles within a global, complex organization
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and delivering high‑profile strategic initiatives
  • Strong understanding of internal communications, engagement and change in a professional services environment
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery
  • Innovative and creative mindset, and ability to translate this into EY’s organizational culture
  • Strong understanding of digital channels, content strategy and audience-centric internal communications
  • Collaborates well with peers, across brand, marketing and communications
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Proven experience working across multiple businesses or portfolios in a matrixed organization
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear, actionable communications
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining quality and pace
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong understanding of EY’s culture, ways of working and leadership expectations
  • Deep knowledge of how EY operates and a powerful network across the organization.
