About the Role
Lead a global team responsible for the embedded software, firmware, and device software that powers video borescope platforms. This role combines technical leadership, people development, product execution, and strategic planning to deliver industry-leading inspection solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead a global software engineering team developing embedded software and firmware for advanced inspection systems.
- Drive the execution of software development programs while balancing schedule, quality, cost, and customer requirements.
- Partner with product management, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, quality, manufacturing, and service teams to bring products from concept through launch and sustainment.
- Define technical roadmaps and investment priorities for future generations of embedded software platforms.
- Build a culture of technical excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop engineering talent through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
- Support customer engagements and strategic development partnerships.
- Drive the adoption of modern embedded software development practices, automation, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled technologies where they create customer value.
- Manage engineering resources, staffing plans, budgets, and software capitalization activities.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams and external development partners.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading embedded software development teams delivering commercial hardware products.
- Strong technical foundation in embedded software, firmware development, embedded architecture, or related engineering disciplines.
- Experience delivering products that tightly integrate software, electronics, optics, sensors, and mechanical systems.
- Experience operating at both strategic and technical levels, helping teams solve complex engineering challenges while guiding long-term product direction.
- Experience working within structured product development environments that utilize requirements, design reviews, verification, validation, and release processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing engineering roadmaps, budgets, and organizational growth.
- Passion for developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience developing embedded systems using C or C++.
- Experience working with Embedded Linux, RTOS environments, device drivers, hardware interfaces, and board bring-up.
- Experience developing or supporting camera systems, imaging products, optics, computer vision, image processing, or measurement technologies.
- Experience leading the development of industrial, aerospace, medical device, robotics, automation, or instrumentation products.
- Experience working with connected devices and cybersecurity for embedded products.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, or edge analytics deployed on embedded platforms.
- This position requires current work authorization in the country of employment. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.

Salary/Compensations
- $136,000.00 - $252,540.00
