About the Role
STV is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead and collaborate with pursuit teams on exciting projects within the Buildings group, primarily supporting the fast-growing national Buildings team in the western region.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the development of clean, compliant, and compelling responses to solicitations.
- Coordinate efforts of the marketing team, including graphic designers, proofreaders, and junior marketing staff, throughout the proposal development process.
- Analyze solicitations and develop schedules, comprehensive outlines, and compliance matrices.
- Collaborate with pursuit and project teams to identify and integrate sales themes into responses.
- Work with pursuit and project teams to record and communicate content development responsibilities.
- Identify teaming partners, develop RFIs for teaming partners, and coordinate their material preparation.
- Tailor and develop creative, compelling non-technical narratives.
- Coordinate, guide, and assist project team staff on the development of cohesive technical narratives.
- Collaborate with pursuit teams, graphic designers, and proposed project staff to develop impactful graphics.
- Facilitate color review meetings to solicit meaningful input and implement approved changes.
- Ensure all submission elements are proofread, edited, and compliant with solicitation requirements and brand guidelines.
- Manage and lead the development of clean, compliant, and compelling interviews.
- Draft storylines and storyboards for interviews.
- Coordinate with graphic designers to develop visually compelling final interview presentations.
- Coordinate with the presentation team to schedule and facilitate planning sessions and rehearsals.
- Manage and support participants with content refinement and adherence to time limits.
- Manage, facilitate, support, and provide coaching for interview presentations, including room setup and Q&A.
- Serve as PowerPoint operator, timer, and room setup assistant during final interviews, if possible.
- Support the development of project descriptions and resumes for the firm’s database.
- Manage local junior staff, including serving as a mentor.
- Work collaboratively with peers and managers to communicate needs and champion junior staff development.
- Participate in client strategic planning processes to evolve long-term client relationships and understand their goals.
- Initiate and participate in client debriefs to integrate lessons learned into future submittals.
- Provide logistical and administrative pursuit development support.
- Actively participate in pre-RFP positioning strategy sessions, including competitor analysis and strategy development.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of proposal management experience with the AEC industry, including experience with proposal development from inception to submission.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior staff in proposal management.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, journalism, liberal arts, or a related area of study.
- Highly capable in Adobe® Creative Suite, specifically Adobe® InDesign.
- Highly capable in Microsoft ® Suite (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

- Highly-organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and research skills.
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills and ability to adapt to an industry-specific style guide.
- Ability to manage concurrent assignments under strict deadlines and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Client-focused, with a strong work ethic.
- Design-build experience is a plus.
