About the Role

In this client-facing role, you will provide critical technical support for Reuters' Editorial operations, working closely with journalists, production teams, engineers, and external partners to ensure reliable, high-quality news coverage and content delivery. Operating within a 24/7 follow-the-sun support model, you will combine strong technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset to resolve complex issues, support live news and event coverage, and drive operational excellence across the business. The role also offers opportunities to support major off-site events and productions through occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day technical support activities and collaborate with internal and external resources to support Reuters news coverage and live events.
  • Oversee key technologies and support broadcast delivery systems located in-house and at designated third-party colocation sites, while managing media distribution across multiple platforms for Reuters clients and subscribers.
  • Partner with Reuters video producers, deputy editors, and external vendors to ensure seamless content production and timely delivery of media assets.
  • Champion innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement by promoting efficient media and broadcast workflows.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams and third-party providers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment, platform, and workflow issues within required turnaround times.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, including PC hardware asset records, standard operating procedures, knowledge-base articles, checklists, and incident reports.
  • Represent the Editorial business in special projects, events, PC builds and hardware-refresh programs, employee onboarding, and local-area-network (LAN) support activities.

Requirements

  • A results-driven mindset, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to succeed in a collaborative team environment.
  • A proven record of delivering high-quality work on schedule in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
  • Knowledge and experience in broadcast engineering, including pre-production and post-production workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting PC and Mac desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications, along with end-user IT support and engineering/broadcast delivery solutions.
