About the Role
Full-time live-out nanny needed for a family in Brooklyn Heights with their infant daughter. Responsibilities include providing nurturing, engaging, and age-appropriate care, light child-related housekeeping, and maintaining common areas. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced with infants, organized, independent, professional, and able to partner with first-time parents.
Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing and proactive care for an infant daughter.
- Interact with the child in an engaging, loving, and age-appropriate way.
- Complete light, child-related housekeeping duties (laundry, meal preparation, organization).
- Maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state.
- Partner with parents who value open dialogue and good communication.
- Incorporate up-to-date best practices into childcare.
- Provide long-term support to first-time parents.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the US.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working with families with young children (with long-term tenure).
- Well-suited demeanor and recent experience working with infants and eventual toddlers.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence.
- Experience in partnering and supporting first-time parents with infant and toddler milestones.
- A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy, dual working parent household.
- Ability to travel and occasional weekend or overnight cover with advance notice is ideal.
- Flexibility for additional hours is required.
