About the Role
Join The Arc Chemung-Schuyler as a Full Time Community Engagement- Direct Support Professional to make a real difference in the lives of individuals in our community. This role is ideal for recent graduates, home health aides, CNAs, personal care assistants, and direct support professionals seeking to grow in the social services field.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential day-to-day services and training to individuals in the community.
- Support individuals with direct assistance in daily living activities, including adult living skills, cooking, and budgeting.
- Accompany individuals on community outings, such as medical appointments, recreational activities, volunteer locations, and personal shopping trips.
- Promote independence and enhance the overall quality of life for those served.
Requirements
- A valid/clean driver's license is REQUIRED.
- Reliable transportation is mandatory.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
