About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) reports to the Clinical Director of Nursing and is responsible for the overall care given to patients by the nursing staff. This is a key leadership role, providing leadership, staff support, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure consistent achievement of quality care standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee patient care provided by nursing staff.
- Provide leadership and staff support.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- New York State RN license.
- Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an RN in a medical/surgical, rehab, or long-term care environment.
- Prior Supervisory or Management experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to lead teams and empower staff.
- Effective communication skills.
