About the Role

We are spearheading the deployment of Level 4 autonomous systems, aiming to introduce the first certifiable solution of its kind to European roads by combining cutting-edge AI with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for AI and machine learning use cases.
• Ensure training and inference data is correctly structured, versioned, and accessible.
• Implement monitoring and validation checks for data quality, consistency, and freshness.
• Build and improve internal tooling to automate data preparation and pipeline tasks.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers, Perception, and Data Infrastructure on data formats, access patterns, and pipeline requirements.

Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science, data engineering, data science, or comparable field, or equivalent vocational training/apprenticeship.
• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and information systems.
• Experience with on-call and standby duty for production systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with solid general database knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, including training neural networks at scale.
• Experience with large data volumes and hybrid (cloud/on-prem) infrastructure.
• Experience with data annotation and collaborating with external service providers.
• Strong ownership mindset and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Good communication skills for close collaboration.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
