About the Role
Own a portfolio of Higher Education partners across the UK and internationally, responsible for their success, retention, and growth. This role involves day-to-day relationship management, renewals, expansion, and senior stakeholder conversations, combining strong account management with commercial confidence.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a portfolio of university partners.
- Understand partner goals, priorities, challenges, usage, and future plans.
- Build trusted relationships with users and senior sponsors.
- Create strong, multi-threaded relationships across departments and teams.
- Develop success plans and account strategies connecting Gecko to meaningful outcomes.
- Maintain a clear view of partner health, risk, and opportunity.
- Own renewals from planning through to agreement.
- Ensure partners clearly see the value they receive from Gecko.
- Identify opportunities to expand into new teams, departments, and use cases.
- Lead expansion opportunities from discovery through negotiation and close.
- Meet renewal and expansion targets and maintain an accurate pipeline.
- Run account reviews connecting partner outcomes to future opportunities.
- Maintain Salesforce data.
- Act as the main point of contact for partners.
- Own issues through to resolution, involving internal teams as needed.
- Work closely with Commercial, Product, Support, and Enablement teams.
- Deliver confident demos, account reviews, presentations, and commercial conversations.
- Provide support cover where required, focusing on proactive account management and growth.
- Follow through on commitments.
Requirements
- Experience managing customer accounts in a B2B SaaS business.
- Experience owning renewals, expansion, or commercial growth.
- Ability to manage complex or strategic accounts with multiple stakeholders and longer decision cycles.
- Comfortable talking about pricing, value, revenue, and next steps.
- Ability to uncover and progress opportunities.
- Ability to lead meetings, demos, executive reviews, and negotiations.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a portfolio, pipeline, and regular travel.
- Asks good questions, listens properly, and is proactive.
- Cares about the wider team and shares knowledge.
- Ability to build trust, lead commercial conversations, and take ownership of partner growth.
- Willingness to focus on partner outcomes while addressing targets, negotiation, and identifying areas for added value.
- Must be a UK-based applicant with a valid right to work in the UK.
