About the Role

As a Technical Product Owner, you will translate business goals into deliverable IT increments, ensuring the successful, budget-conscious, and timely execution of IT and digitalization projects critical to ENERTRAG's mission of sustainably generating renewable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business goals into deliverable IT increments for timely and budget-conscious project execution.
  • Ensure smooth handover to operations, including runbooks, monitoring, observability, and hypercare, in collaboration with Service Owners and DevOps teams.
  • Establish and monitor quality and security standards using Security-by-Design principles.
  • Define NFR and performance targets and coordinate test strategies with QA and Engineering.
  • Coordinate interfaces and data flows across systems and teams, curating APIs, events, and data contracts.
  • Ensure consistent end-to-end data processing.
  • Prepare decision papers and gate documents (e.g., architecture or data approvals).
  • Actively manage dependencies, risks, and conflicts between projects and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, IT, architecture, security, and external partners to ensure integrated and sustainable IT strategy implementation.
  • Contribute significantly to ENERTRAG's digitalization and process stability through clear management, quality awareness, and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification, OR extensive professional experience in digital or IT projects.
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing IT products or programs with measurable business impact.
  • Experience in project management, process consulting, or portfolio management.
  • Sound knowledge of integration and platform ecosystems (ERP, ECM, API Management, BI).
  • Experience in designing interfaces, data flows, and data contracts.
  • Familiarity with governance and architecture processes, creating/reviewing ADRs, and ensuring target architecture conformity and clean gate processes.
  • Proficiency with agile methodologies, product and delivery management, NFR/performance and Security-by-Design principles, and stable CI/CD and monitoring processes.
  • Proficient use of tools like Jira, Confluence, and M365.
  • Openness to new technologies (e.g., Cloud, Web Services).
  • Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and decision-making ability.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.
