About the Role

West Monroe is seeking Consulting Interns to join our Software discipline and Software Engineering team within our Technology and Experience (TechEx) Practice. As a Software Engineering (AI Concentration) Consulting Intern, you will work directly with a product team to understand client business needs and strategies, delivering solutions ranging from bond trading platforms integrated with AI models to modernized legacy software, AI agents, and web/mobile applications. You will learn and receive mentorship from experienced professionals in software engineering, product development, and consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to design and develop software applications.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs.
  • Utilize an Agile approach for iterative product delivery.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients.
  • Apply AI technologies to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%).
  • Experience integrating AI tools into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
