International Financing Review is seeking a journalist to report on European structured finance markets, uncovering developments and themes in securitisation by leveraging and developing industry contacts. The role involves analyzing regulatory filings and engaging with senior finance professionals to provide exclusive insights and breaking news.
Responsibilities
- Writing and packaging stories with accuracy and speed, adhering to principles and operating standards.
- Capturing information to break news, including exclusives, beats, and insightful analysis pieces.
- Building and maintaining a comprehensive list of industry contacts.
- Developing expertise in structured credit and adjacent markets to broaden coverage.
- Interacting with clients and business colleagues to shape coverage.
- Serving as a journalistic mentor to colleagues.
Requirements
- Reporting experience in a news environment.
- Knowledge of structured credit or other capital markets asset classes.
- A collaborative approach.
- Comfortable sifting through regulatory filings.
- Willingness to engage with senior bankers, investors, traders, finance directors, and lawyers.
- Ability to support credit team coverage across all capital markets asset classes.
