About the Role

Lead a global direct material commodity team and serve as the operations leader for the Blades CoE. Standardize work across the blades team and optimize the blade strategy for GE Vernova, evaluating make vs. buy decisions for total impact on SQDC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team to define and execute the global blade direct material strategy for internal blade factories.
  • Lead negotiations with external blade suppliers and own supply agreement Terms and Conditions.
  • Implement standard work with the blades team, ensuring alignment with the broader GEV WIND sourcing team's standard work.
  • Ensure standard work includes Cost Handbook roll ups, PPV and YOY metrics, and pipeline project alignment.
  • Maintain the Bowler for the team.
  • Develop standard work for make vs. buy decisions that align with the GE Vernova business strategy.
  • Drive cost out projects with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve annual budgets and year-over-year savings.
  • Engage cross-functional participation in Kaizens and focused workouts to prioritize safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Partner with suppliers, internal factories, and engineering/materials teams to drive innovative cost out, increased output, and supply flexibility using standard work to track projects.
  • Manage and implement standard work for cost out programs, including engineering changes, material changes, and additional material supply sources.
  • Maintain a supply base that adheres to quality and fulfillment requirements.
  • Lead team to support balanced scorecard and supplier improvement processes.
  • Lead others to find creative solutions for complex problems impacting the organization.
  • Evaluate the quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis.
  • Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to arrive at a decision.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
  • Present business solutions to leaders in the functional area.
  • Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally to adopt different points of view.
  • Influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college or equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Significant experience in Supply Chain, Commodity Management, or Product Management.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required, estimated at 20% for negotiation with suppliers, supply chain risk mitigation, and identifying additional supply opportunities.

Salary/Compensations

  • $149,400.00 - $248,900.00 USD Annual
  • Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
