About the Role
LCP Delta is seeking an Associate Consultant to analyze the evolving residential smart energy landscape across Europe, focusing on the intersection of energy retail, customer propositions, electrification, flexibility, and digital services. This role offers the opportunity to develop insights that guide energy companies' strategic decisions and contribute to a key growth area for LCP Delta.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver research projects within the Residential Smart Energy research service and consulting projects, with a focus on energy retail.
- Lead research using qualitative and quantitative methods, including expert interviews, market analysis, desk research, and data analysis.
- Produce clear, engaging client outputs such as reports, viewpoints, databases, and presentations.
- Communicate insights to clients through meetings, presentations, email, and webinars.
- Build relationships with industry contacts to strengthen market insight and business development.
- Identify emerging trends and translate them into client-relevant insights.
- Provide expert opinion on energy retail to clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Residential Smart Energy team and related teams (EVs, heat, flexibility).
Requirements
- Proven experience in the energy transition, working with or for organizations like energy companies, technology manufacturers, policymakers, start-ups, and industry associations.
- Solid research skills, including experience with expert interviews, desk-based research, data analysis, and synthesis.
- Excellent client management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand client needs.
- Curiosity and a desire to listen and learn from industry contacts.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to transform complex information into clear, commercially useful insight.
- Great written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build a compelling narrative.
- Team player – collaborative, sets standards, builds relationships, provides feedback.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and multiple deadlines.
- Commercial acumen – ability to think commercially about client needs.
- Ability to attend events and confidence to network.
