About the Role

Support a leading international bank on a defined loan portfolio transfer programme, executing documentation, system updates, agent and counterparty communication, and settlement for syndicated loan assets.

Responsibilities

  • Run transfers end to end, working directly with Front Office, agent banks and buying counterparties to get each trade documented, circled, booked and settled.
  • Prepare Transfer Certificates in line with LMA standards and execute the associated transfer mechanics accurately and to deadline.
  • Review transfer provisions by interrogating credit agreements to establish operational transfer requirements, flagging anything that affects the trade.
  • Draft and issue Pricing Letters, applying secondary loan market pricing conventions.
  • Complete circling and associated booking and maintenance activity in Loan IQ to ensure accurate positions, facility records, and settlement data.
  • Act as the point of contact with agent banks, submitting transfer documentation, tracking consents and approvals, and managing the syndicated lending agency process.
  • Liaise directly with buying counterparties across the settlement lifecycle, resolving queries and clearing blockers.
  • Own the quality check across the full transfer pack, validating documentation and data ahead of execution.

Requirements

  • Experience in syndicated loan operations, loan agency, or secondary loan trading support within a bank, agency provider or asset manager.
  • Demonstrable secondary loan market experience, including executing sales and transfers of loan assets and understanding the process from trade date through to settlement.
  • Working knowledge of LMA documentation, specifically Transfer Certificates, Pricing Letters, and transfer provisions within credit agreements.
  • Understanding of syndicated lending agency processes and how agent banks operate through a transfer.
  • Strong attention to detail and discipline to validate documentation and data before issuance.
  • Confident written and verbal communication with external counterparties, agent banks and internal Front Office stakeholders.
  • Availability to start immediately.
  • A valid working permit for the UK is mandatory.
