About the Role

This role is Griffin's essential support to the Treasurer, providing hands-on ownership of reporting, cash management, and dealing to ensure the treasury function runs smoothly. You will work closely with the Treasurer, stepping in when they are out, and help shape liquidity management, deal execution, and investment strategy. This is an opportunity to build deep treasury expertise within a fast-moving, founder-led bank.

Responsibilities

Daily reporting on liquidity, capital, interest rate risk, and asset encumbrance
Monthly reporting, including liquidity, interest rate risk, treasury asset interest income, margin, and customer profitability
Cash management, including inter-account transfers and payments
Liquidity management, monitoring depositor behaviour and refining outflow assumptions
Dealing: pre- and post-trade checks, settlements, and credit analysis
Maintaining treasury mandates
Contributing to strategic projects, from Direct FPS to the Sterling Monetary Framework

Requirements

5+ years' experience in a bank treasury function
Experience with liquidity and capital regulation (e.g., CRR, Basel III, LCR, NSFR, IRRBB, ILAAP, ICAAP)
Strong, hands-on Excel skills
Dealing experience: evaluating the market, proposing trades, and executing them
Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to sense-check reporting output
A love of writing and contributing to written documentation with clarity and readability
Experience in a challenger or growth-stage bank, having built or improved treasury processes and reporting (ideal)
Data skills like Python, SQL, or Power BI, and knowledge of how to use AI tools (ideal)
Successful completion of background screening, including verification of right to work, criminal record, credit history, social media, and professional reference checks
