About the Role

As a Senior Accountant at Insulet, you’ll contribute to transformative work, enjoy a flexible and inclusive culture, and make a real, daily difference for our global Podder community. This position is responsible for payroll accounting, VAT accounting, and related financial reporting activities across multiple EMEA entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, supporting local statutory reporting requirements, maintaining a robust internal control framework, and driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead payroll accounting activities across the EMEA region and act as the key accounting partner for Payroll, HR, Benefits teams, and external payroll providers.
Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries, including payroll accrual calculations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper support.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including transaction review and issue resolution.
Take full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations for payroll, benefits, VAT, and other assigned accounts, ensuring clear purpose, complete supporting documentation, and timely investigation and resolution.
Support VAT compliance including VAT account reconciliations, VAT accounting entries and coordination with internal tax team.
Contribute to statutory reporting, audits, and preparation of financial statements for EMEA entities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Demonstrated progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment, with exposure to internal controls, and SOX compliance
Strong accounting knowledge (US GAAP preferred)
Proven experience with preparation and review of complex payroll journals (multi-country and multi-currency set up)
Working knowledge of VAT
Understanding of SOX controls and compliance
Strong experience in working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
