About the Role
Join our premier healthcare environment as a Clinical Nurse I - RN in the Neuroscience ICU. You will provide expert, evidence-based care to patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, or brain tumors, often assisting with delicate procedures and supporting neurosurgical recovery. This role offers a fast-paced, family-oriented environment where skilled nursing professionals are central to our mission of Putting Patients First.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inserting central lines and pulmonary artery catheters.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures such as inserting a drain in the patient's skull to reduce pressure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license
- BCLS certification
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- Two years of acute care experience in a hospital setting
