About the Role

This role involves representing clients on a broad range of investigations, including financial services regulatory investigations, financial crime, product liability issues, and public inquiries. You will have the opportunity to work on significant cases, engage directly with partners and senior lawyers, and collaborate with clients and colleagues across the business. Business development activities are also part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients on a broad range of investigations, including financial services regulatory investigations, insurance, financial crime (sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, fraud), product liability issues, and public inquiries.
  • Work on large and high-profile cases as well as smaller standalone matters.
  • Engage directly with partners and senior lawyers.
  • Collaborate within teams of lawyers for larger disputes.
  • Actively engage with clients and colleagues across the business.
  • Participate in business development activities.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background and legal training, ideally in disputes and investigations for commercial clients.
  • NQ - 2 years’ post-qualification experience with exposure to a range of disputes.
  • Proactive, motivated lawyer with flexibility to handle a wide variety of matters.
  • Experience in providing first-rate client service.
  • Exposure to business development activities and a good understanding of how to win work.
  • Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with existing and new clients.
