About the Role

Bodyshop Manager opportunity at a leading accident repair centre in Harrow. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of a busy repair facility, ensuring high standards of quality, customer service, productivity, and team performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in workshop operations and team development within a fast-paced, professional environment focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team is ready to begin work at 7:00am, including opening the workshop and preparing equipment.
  • Hold daily morning meetings to allocate work, communicate targets, and address operational issues.
  • Oversee the correct use of equipment, tools, and PPE, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Liaise with senior management regarding vehicle progress, workload, and operational challenges.
  • Ensure repair management systems are updated accurately to provide customers with timely progress updates.
  • Order parts for upcoming repairs at least three business days in advance where possible.
  • Manage workshop capacity and vehicle throughput effectively.
  • Ensure all repair documentation and image records are completed accurately.
  • Monitor and control wet and dry stock levels.
  • Maintain quality control standards throughout every stage of the repair process.
  • Drive performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction across the operation.
  • Support the ongoing development and wellbeing of team members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Bodyshop Manager, Workshop Manager, or similar leadership role within the accident repair industry.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and workshop operations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong IT and systems proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach with a commitment to supporting and developing others.
  • Results-driven with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Driving licence (required)
