About the Role

Join the Risk Methodology (RM) team, within Group Strategic Analytics (GSA), instrumental in developing and maintaining Deutsche Bank Group’s risk measurement methodologies. Provide businesses and risk managers with fit-for-purpose tools for allocating financial resources, managing risk appetite, and making well-informed credit decisions. Ensure models are based on requirements for regulatory and economic capital calculations. Responsible for the development and maintenance of PD/LGD/CCF models for the Group’s credit portfolios, collaborating with stakeholders to build industry-leading models compliant with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of methodologies for credit risk parameters for retail and wholesale portfolios compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Resolution of regulatory and internal findings related to credit risk parameter methodology or related models.
  • Active interaction with senior management and various internal stakeholders from Business, Credit Risk Management, Finance, and Capital Management.

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree (Master or/and PhD) in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematical Finance/Statistics/Econometrics) with a focus on applying theoretical knowledge into practice.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management and relevant regulations for modelling credit risk parameters (PD, LGD, CCF).
  • Proven experience in internal modelling for more than 3 years.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle and optimize processing of large datasets.
  • Proficiency with advanced statistical techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical packages.
  • Proven experience in supporting model development projects requiring cross-functional stakeholder syndication.
  • Proven experience in executing regulatory audits and other external reviews of internal models.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and explain complex ideas.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
  • Good written and verbal skills in German are preferable.
