About the Role

Support the Claims function with administrative services for London and Europe, ensuring the accuracy of claims data in line with the claims manual and regulatory procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, as well as other ad hoc reports.
  • Manage claims processing in line with Starr and Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and granted authority.
  • Proactively manage the DOCOsoft workflow, including diaries, and ensure accurate claims recording.
  • Attach all relevant documentation to each transaction and use comprehensive notes to enhance claims outcomes.
  • Process and manage settled direct claims, including diaries, on DOCOsoft.
  • Process SCM/USM daily and ensure incorrect premium signing allocations are corrected.
  • Correct any claim signings that have followed the premium signing into suspense.
  • Process manual bridging reserves each quarter close and reconcile/remove them after account updates.
  • Follow up on direct/manual fees.
  • Review loss fund adequacy and manage recovery of loss funds on prior years.
  • Upload bordereaux’s to DOCOsoft as appropriate.
  • Monitor and manage ECF/Lirma incompletes.
  • Provide general administrative support for Complex Claims adjusters during busy periods or holiday cover.
  • Undertake other ad hoc administrative projects for the CST.
  • Report any suspicion of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer immediately.
  • Operate within the Company’s standards for Treating Customers Fairly as per the Consumer Duty regulatory requirements.
  • Manage any potential conflicts of interest to avoid disrepute to the Company’s integrity.
  • Advise Compliance and Management of any complaints immediately.

Requirements

  • Advanced data entry skills.
  • Advanced numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Interest in the London Insurance Market.
  • Commitment to furthering technical knowledge and understanding.
  • Complete, timely, and accurate performance records via Workday.
  • Advise Compliance and Claims Manager of any complaints immediately.
