About the Role

You will not simply take over a finished area of responsibility, but help to build it up. The area of demolition and waste management has been handled on a project-by-project basis at BBP until now. We are now developing it further as a permanent part of our work. For this, we are looking for expert support with experience in demolition and waste management. You will contribute your knowledge, develop standards and processes, and pass on your experience to colleagues. The position combines planning and practice: you will primarily be involved in planning and conception, but will remain closely connected to the construction site through the supervision and control of demolition work. You will create demolition and disposal concepts, support tenders, and check on-site whether the demolition is carried out professionally and according to plan. The focus of our projects is on predominantly non-hazardous construction and demolition waste.

Responsibilities

  • Create demolition and disposal concepts for existing buildings and plan selective demolition.
  • Assess which building materials can be reused, recycled, or disposed of, considering applicable legal and technical requirements.
  • Support projects in your clearly defined area of responsibility from planning through tendering to implementation, keeping an eye on costs, deadlines, and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with structural engineering project management, construction supervision, and executing companies, and provide technical coordination for demolition work.
  • Monitor on-site whether the planned demolition work is being carried out professionally and intervene technically in case of deviations.
  • Advise project managers and colleagues on questions regarding demolition, recycling, and disposal, and share your expertise within the team.

Requirements

  • Come from civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a comparable field, or have corresponding practical experience as a construction manager.
  • Have prior experience with demolition, dismantling, disposal, or building material recycling and are familiar with the associated legal and technical requirements.
  • Can develop practical and economical demolition, recycling, and disposal solutions.
  • Quickly grasp technical contexts, work in a structured manner, and take responsibility for your tasks.
  • Enjoy working with clients, project managers, construction supervision, and executing companies.
  • Are eager to share your knowledge and interested in helping to build and shape a specialized area.
  • Your resume does not have to match our advertisement point by point. If you have experience from construction practice and find yourself in the role, please contact us.
