About the Role

As a world-class leader in the travel industry, Marriott International offers a fantastic opportunity to entertain and meet people from all over the world while building your experience. In this role, your main functions include the preparation and service of hot and cold dishes, responsibility for the section, and carrying out ordering and stock rotation where necessary. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a good understanding of a kitchen at this level or a CDP ready for their next career move.

Responsibilities

Taking control of the kitchen when the Executive chef and sous chefs are not present.
Estimating and communicating daily production needs.
Responding appropriately to guest needs during hours of operation.
Ensuring that internal customers are communicated with on a daily basis.
Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
Assessing quality control and adhere to service standards including the support of food cost control.

Requirements

Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace, with good communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and solve practical problems in varying situations.
Must have at least 3 years previous experience in a high quality kitchen environment.
