About the Role

Croydon Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Carbon Neutral Support Officer to support the delivery of the Council's Climate Action Plan and sustainability programmes. Working within the Carbon Neutral Programme team, you will help coordinate climate projects, monitor progress, manage data and reporting, support stakeholder engagement, and contribute to initiatives that reduce carbon emissions and strengthen community resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of climate and sustainability projects.
  • Monitor programme performance, data and carbon reduction activities.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, presentations and communications.
  • Organise meetings, workshops, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Maintain project records, trackers and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with Council services, residents, community groups and external partners.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting projects or programmes.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders.
