About the Role

We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee and drive local communications for Technip Energies in The UK. The role is responsible for developing and implementing integrated internal and external communication strategies, ensuring brand consistency, and enhancing the company's profile across the UK. The position will also lead and execute the UK Public Affairs strategy, supporting the company's business objectives and strengthening Technip Energies' positioning with government stakeholders and local authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Corporate programs and campaigns reach all employees within the UK.
  • Provides expert communication support, advice and guidance to the Management team and the wider Operating Center.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate brand guidelines.
  • Ensures that information is effectively communicated across the company.
  • Raises awareness of the Technip Energies brand and strengthens its reputation.
  • Positions Technip Energies as a trusted partner in the UK's energy transition by strengthening relationships with government, local authorities, policymakers, industry bodies and key influencers, while supporting UKOC's business objectives.
  • Promotes Technip Energies as a recognised leader and trusted expert in delivering decarbonisation infrastructure across the UK.

  • Works with senior leadership, as appropriate, to support the UK business goals.
  • Responsible for UK Communications and Public Affairs budgets and compliance.
  • Provide communications support, advice and guidance to the UK Managing Directors and the senior leadership team.
  • Develop local communication strategies and plans in collaboration with managers and project teams.
  • Draft executive communications, leadership messages and local announcements.
  • Collaborate with global corporate communications teams to implement corporate campaigns and initiatives to accurately mirror global brand and messaging standards.
  • Supervise internal communications efforts to inform and engage employees, contractors, and stakeholders across the country.
  • Oversee digital communication platforms including the intranet, internal communications channels and other communication tools, ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Lead and coordinate town halls and forums.
  • Support webinars, in-person meetings and large-scale events ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
  • Manage the communications and Public Affairs budgets and oversee external agencies and vendors as required to support initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the effectiveness of communication programmes and campaigns, recommending improvements to maximise reach, engagement, and impact.
  • Conduct regular meetings with communication focal points in the operating center.
  • Foster a culture of transparent, consistent, and impactful communication within the operating centre.
  • Provide information, content and communication assets to the Corporate Communications Group for publication on internal and external channels.
  • Lead communications support during crisis and incident situations within the country, in coordination with the Corporate Communications team.
  • Coordinate with Corporate PR team on social media, media relations activities and external communications.
  • Develop and implement the UK Public Affairs strategy in alignment with the Operating Centre's commercial objectives and business priorities.
  • Define and execute stakeholder engagement plans, including targeted engagement roadmaps and advocacy strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government representatives, local authorities, policymakers, regulators, industry bodies, trade associations and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive the development of policy positions in line with Technip Energies' priorities and coordinate responses to government consultations, when relevant.
  • Coordinate, prepare for and lead meetings with government officials, and local public authorities, as well as workshops to share insights, lessons learned and best practices.
  • Provide strategic policy analysis and public affairs advice to the Operating Centre leadership, Technip Energies' Public Affairs team, Project Leads, Cluster Leadership and Commercial teams.
  • Monitor political, regulatory and policy developments relevant to Technip Energies' activities and assess their potential impact on the business.
  • Ensure alignment with Technip Energies' global Public Affairs strategy, priorities and messaging.
  • Travel, as needed, to support Communications and Public Affairs goals.

Requirements

  • Senior communication profile with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent skills in developing and implementing communications plans and a track record of managing communication channels.
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees in the organization.
  • Ability to manage transversal projects involving various entities and people.
  • Experience in managing media relations, building relationships with journalists, developing and drafting press releases, and handling crisis communications.
  • Demonstrated Public Affairs expertise, including the development and execution of government and stakeholder engagement strategies, the contribution to policy discussions, and the assessment of regulatory and political developments and their impact on business operations.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with government representatives, public officials and industry stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a global organization.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
