About the Role

The Angel Oak is a busy, food-led pub with real personality, seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the business. This role offers significant opportunity to maximize the pub's assets, including a large beer garden with an outdoor kitchen and bar, to grow sales and create a brilliant customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with the business development manager and management team to grow pub sales.
• Lead by example and bring the brand to life through the team, delivering amazing customer experiences.
• Recruit and develop the team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to delight customers.
• Act as a champion of brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times.

Requirements

• Possess very high standards and attention to detail in the day-to-day running of a successful pub.
• Demonstrate excellent people skills, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Be business savvy with a keen eye for P&L control.
• Embrace individuality and show care for others, the pub, and the environment.
• Previous success at General Manager level is desirable, preferably from a hospitality, retail, or other fast-paced background.
• Possess the right attitude and outlook.
• Be keen to learn and motivated by new successes.
• Have sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
• Must have or be able to acquire a personal license.
