About the Role

The Global AI Strategy & Portfolio Senior Manager drives the growth of BCG X's AI and Tech business within specific industries and functions. This role collaborates with senior leaders to advance commercial priorities in AI & digital, focusing investments on critical client-facing offerings. It requires strong stakeholder management, an entrepreneurial mindset, and analytical skills to provide recommendations in the rapidly evolving AI, business, and tech landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the definition of priorities and activation plans for AI business in practice areas.
  • Shape the portfolio of digital & AI offers with senior leaders.
  • Activate Go-to-Market (GTM) activities across sectors, functions, and regions.
  • Manage the ongoing cadence with the AI leadership team.
  • Facilitate partnerships between BCG X and BCG Industry/Functional Leaders.
  • Champion the shift toward agentic offers.
  • Program manage the execution of AI priorities and standardize processes.
  • Strengthen people affiliation and community engagement.
  • Support investment prioritization decisions for AI & Tech.
  • Drive deep-dive analyses across the portfolio to synthesize insights and articulate recommendations.
  • Drive alignment across Offer, Topic, Sector Managers, Product Managers, and Tech Leads.
  • Identify trade-offs between GTM urgency, product innovation, and technical feasibility.
  • Support portfolio review forums and escalation pathways.
  • Champion the adoption of agentic developments to transform internal ways of working.
  • Proactively share best practices to scale proven approaches.
  • Collaborate with Finance to analyze and report on practice area performance.
  • Collaborate with the Go-to-Market team to support client narratives and marketing materials.
  • Work in a global and matrixed organization, collaborating across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in strategy consulting at BCG (or equivalent), ideally as a Senior Associate/Consultant, or as a Lead-level Topic/Sector/Offer Manager (or equivalent).
  • Experience working effectively in a global environment with people at all organizational levels.
  • Strong experience in strategy development, problem-solving, and generalist consulting.
  • Strong analytical skillset with the ability to work independently with large datasets, build robust analyses, and draw insight-driven conclusions in an ambiguous environment.
  • Proven ability to develop innovation approaches & processes in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong experience in strategic planning, execution, and programme management.
  • Proven ability to be proactive, highly organised and pragmatic.
  • Must be able to manage competing priorities, fragmentation, and multiple workstreams on a consistent basis.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and presentation skills.
  • Good tech literacy, including familiarity with leveraging Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini or other Agentic tools day-to-day.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in complex, matrixed, global organizations.
  • Strong business acumen: able to assess commercial value, build investment cases.
  • Good judgment and the ability to connect as a trusted peer across all levels.
  • Comfortable bringing structure, discipline, and clarity to fast-moving, ambiguous transformation efforts.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams without losing focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to articulate complex trade-offs to senior audiences.
  • Promotes growth mindset across team and demonstrates resilience under pressure.
  • Experience developing simple agentic tools (Good to have).
  • Experience in management of a portfolio of products/AI-powered offers, with growing accountability for investment decisions and performance outcomes (Good to have).
  • Knowledge of BCG industry/functional Practice Areas and/or BCG X (Good to have).
