About the Role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will deliver Waitrose produce and provide Partner-led service to customers. You will also support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop.
Responsibilities
- Checking delivery routes for the day.
- Loading and preparing the van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together for efficient delivery.
- Completing appropriate vehicle safety checks and maintaining road compliance, health and safety.
- Acting as a brand ambassador for Waitrose on the road with a focus on customer service.
- Assisting customers with their shopping and building rapport.
- Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
- Supporting the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping when not on the road.
Requirements
- Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
- Great customer service skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g., lifting of crates, moving cages).
- Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self-motivated and adaptable.
- IT literate.
- Must be 18-years or older.
